Baltimore, MD: Mark Braverman on Christians, Jews, and the Search for Peace in the Holy Land
Wednesday, February 10th 2010  7 pm until 9 pm

Mark Braverman, author of much-talked-about new book, Fatal Embrace: Christians, Jews, and the Search for Peace in the Holy Land, shows how the Jewish quest for safety and empowerment and the Christian attempt to atone for the Holocaust and centuries of anti-Semitism have combined to suppress the conversations needed to bring about a just and lasting peace in the Holy Land. Vividly describing the spiritual and psychological forces driving the discourse, Braverman turns to the prophets' cry for justice and Jesus' transformative ministry to show the way forward. Book available for purchase and author signing following the event. Light reception.
